Balikbayan Box

I love to travel.

Aside from the basic things i bring with me whenever i travel aside from my passport, money, travel insurance, credit cards, medicines etc During my recent travels i come up with a list of my travel essentials to pack for traveling:

1. Baby Wipes: With the current ban on liquid material, it is difficult to bring a hand sanitizer in your carry bag. But for sure please bring some with you in your check in luggages. Baby wipes always comes handy wherever and everywhere. May it be riding on a bus, eating fruits or using a public washroom.

2. Swiss Knife or a handy tool. Dapat sa check in luggage ito ilalagay. I remember the last time i was in Davao, i bought a bottle of red wine in a hotel where i check in and viola even the hotel kitchen or even the hotel restaurant doesnt have a wine opener. Having a swiss knife will really do lots such as can opener, as a screwdriver, or just to cut anything.

3. Travel Cutlery: My sisters often told me maarte daw ako just because i bring my own cutlery whenever i travel. When the whole family traveled to the Philippines last 2006 they understand why i have my own cutlery for emergency purposes. Make sure you bring the metal ones kasi yung mga plastic nababali and for sure sa check in luggage rin ito ilalagay.

4. Photocopies of your passport and credit cards: A travelers worst nightmare will be when your passport and credit cards are stolen or got lost. Instead of bringing your passport or any other personal id’s with you whenever you go out (from your hotel) bring the photocopies instead and bring only one credit card. Dont use the safety box in your room. Use the hotel deposit box in the frontdesk.

5. Extra bag/luggage. Eventually you’ll buy a little something of this and that whenever you travel. Make sure to have some extra room for those new set of clothes or much better bring an extra bag with you. You can also buy a new luggage or a balikbayan box for those souvenir items and pasalaubongs.
